Beverly Alexander Martin approached me a couple of years ago about helping her with her memoir-in-vignettes, Destiny Deems. We worked together through multiple drafts to refine her vision, and the result is a fabulous, one-of-a-kind rendering of one woman's path through the processes of individuation and determining what really matters.

COMMENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD:

Switzerland/Tennessee—I immediately thought of my Timeline/Thread that led me to the Goetheanum.

Switzerland—It remains among my list of most interesting and most skillfully written personal books which I have ever read.

5-Star Review—Destiny Deems is much more than what it seems. Beverly Alexander Martin has made connections throughout her life that have led her down a particular path, and she’s insightful enough to see the turning points that influenced her decisions. Her center of focus seems to move from the extrinsic to the intrinsic, and it encourages readers to follow their feelings. Destiny Deems would be a perfect gift for people who feel they don’t have a place in the world because through her experiences and travels, the author finds exactly what she wants and the never-wavering ability to express it to the benefit of the reader. Scotland: Thank you for sharing your story with the world.

U.S.A.: Well, I have to say your book was one of those that once you pick it up you can’t put it down. Fascinating tale.

Switzerland: Destiny Deems creates a category for itself: it is in the form of an autobiography, however it catches and illuminates also significant moments and places which since your childhood have marked historical change. Your mastery of style in writing is compact and neat yet it leaves enough openness for the reader to complete the picture.
